Our Story

Quark Solar Pvt Ltd (formerly known as PAE renewables) began in 2010 to undertake EPC of smaller-sized battery-based solar rooftops at a time when solar was not commercially viable. Thereafter, since 2015, it has transitioned into larger, commercially viable, industrial and commercial rooftops across India, with experience also on MW-scale, open-access, ground-mount projects.

Quark Solar offers solar projects under CAPEX, OPEX and EMI models with its own investors; however, it also works with external
investors when an opportunity arises.

Pritam Doshi

Founder

With over 450+ installations across the country—including Amazon, Blue Star, IKEA, and Emami—Pritam has been at the forefront of India's clean energy revolution. His mission is to empower businesses to transition toward sustainable, low-carbon operations using innovative, hybrid renewable energy solutions such as rooftops, wind turbines and Building-integrated Photovoltaics (BiPV). Grounded in a philosophy of minimalism and conscious living, he brings a deep passion for environmental responsibility into every project.

Born into the pioneering Walchand family, Pritam is the first to independently pursue a path rooted in sustainability. He holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He has lived and worked in both the U.S. and India, and speaks English, Japanese, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati. Beyond business, Pritam is deeply engaged in social impact—he serves as a trustee to several educational and healthcare foundations, is Founding Chair of TIGER 21 Mumbai, and has led global sustainability initiatives through the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Whether building renewable energy systems or building up communities, Pritam remains committed to a future where business success is aligned with environmental and social good.
